This program began with the idea of doing something more meaningful for Joie. I wanted to create a capsule that made sense for the brand and that would make an impact. Beginning with Spring 2021, I launched a partnership with Pret, one of Joie’s vendors in India, who had started an initiative, Stitch in Time, focused on empowering women from local communities with limited access to education and opportunity,
With this collaboration, we were able to propose a capsule each season of 6-8 styles with incredible handwork, while keeping local heritage, arts and crafts alive. This small section of the line generated incredible interest right from the start, and continues to show amazing potential for the future.
